Silver and Gold

My mantra during my teaching career is not so different from that of my new direction in retirement.  For all the years of educating young children, I focused on helping them find their own self worth. It's my sincere belief that we all are valuable and gifted in many areas.  An educator's job is to help young children feel valuable and empowered as they continue their education. And now I apply that belief to myself. I am indulging my love for nature and art, changing my fine art hobby into a career of jewelry design.  Of course, I still spend time with children as it gives meaning to my life.  The time I now spend interpreting nature in a piece of jewelry helps me feel "valuable and gifted." Life is a beautiful circle.
